Biographies - Kim Cook

Kim was born May 3, 1964. Raised in Harrisonburg, LA on the banks of the Ouachita River. She married Joe Cook on May 21, 1983. Kim was saved on November 1986, and says her life and singing began at this time. “The Lord gave me a song when I was saved. Joe helped to fine tune the gift that God gave me and this is what you hear today.”
She was voted by the Emerald Coast Southern Gospel Music Association for the 2008 Beacon Award, Female Vocalist of the Year.
Sharing the message of Jesus Christ and watching people’s lives change when the anointing comes and God touches them is what she enjoys most. “Traveling with my family and sharing in such a great ministry is like a small piece of Heaven on earth. Watching all of them (Joe, Wes, and Anita) on the bus or witnessing or praying for people is an amazing blessing.”
When not on the road, she is a nurse by trade and is very involved in church and community activities.
Loves: God, my family, Sunday after church (we cook and watch football), shopping and traveling to new places.
Favorite Scripture: Phillipians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.
